Full Diagnostics and Remap of Audi Q7
This case study documents a comprehensive diagnostic and remap session for an Audi Q7 3.0 TDI (2016, engine code CVZA, 190kw/258hp).
The vehicle came in with 87,000 km on the odometer. The owner had not experienced any major issues yet, but wanted a preventive remap after reading about the EA897evo oil pressure problem online.
- Our diagnostic process included:
- Full VCDS scan of all control units
- Oil pressure measurement at idle and at operating temperature
- Live data logging during test drive
- Before/after comparison charts
The results showed oil pressure marginally below the optimal threshold - not yet causing damage, but trending in the wrong direction. After our remap calibration, oil pressure improved by 18% at idle and 12% under load.
Performance also improved: torque increased by approximately 40 Nm in the mid-range, and fuel consumption decreased by an estimated 0.4L/100km on mixed driving.
